Ratings are on a 1-10 scale
| Characteristic | Rating | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Would Recommend? | yes | I would recommend my school if the school were still open. I really enjoyed learning and my experience in the field since was been very good. |
| Program Reputation | 1 | I rate it extremely poor for one major reason. The school is now closed because of incidents with the owners and administrators of the institute. |
| Program Quality | 6 | I went to UNLV for my education degree, but I went to the Dahan Institute of Massage Therapy for my certificate. I rate that school fairly highly, although it is closed now. |
| Instruction | More than 5 years ago | |
| How Difficult | 8 | It was fairly easy to complete my certificate. I had two children and was still able to complete the program. I would say it was pretty easy, but fairly rigorous at times. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | The massage therapy program was very hands-on. The students always got to practice on each other and learn new techniques. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 7 | The school was fairly flexible in terms of class times. It was good because I had two children and had to be flexible. |
| Academic Facilities | 8 | There were good libraries and other resources at the institution. I bought several massage therapy books and I'm still using them today. |
| Social Life | 1 | The Institute I went to was just for massage therapy. It was very based around individual learning, so the spirit in the school was not high. |
| Placement Services | 5 | After completing my certificate, I started my own business, so I did not need career help. I received my certificate and started working. |
| Alumni Network | 1 | I say it is very bad because I do not have contact with anyone from my class. Massage therapy is very independent, so that is the main reason. |
