Ratings are on a 1-10 scale
| Characteristic | Rating | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Would Recommend? | yes | The school has a long history of providing an excellent education. The school also teaches you more in depth massage techniques than a normal non Neuromuscular massage school. |
| Program Reputation | 8 | This school has several locations and I have never heard any complaints from the students that were legit. Also, as a Neuromuscular massage school, they are providing a more intense and knowledge-based program. |
| Program Quality | 9 | The instructors at my school were amazing and had a passion for teaching massage. The facilities at the school were very impressive, and I never felt I had a need for anything. |
| Instruction | 9 | The instructors were very passionate about their massage and teaching careers. The instructors had been teaching at the school for several years and were happy with their positions. |
| How Difficult | 7 | The anatomy of the body, all the muscles, organs, and systems of the body took some time to memorize. The class hours were long at 7 hrs per day, 5 days per week. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | The book learning was intense and made up the first part of the curriculum. The hands on came at the clinicals half way through the course where you really go to get a feel for everything you had been learning. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 8 | Fantastic - you could do a 6 month or 1 year course. You could take morning or evening classes. |
| Academic Facilities | 8 | The classrooms were basic, with tables and chairs and many graphs. The clinical room was perfect with all the supplies a massage therapist would need. |
| Social Life | 5 | The classes were small, so there wasn't a big school spirit attitude. Most of the students were full time students, but also worked a lot of hours at jobs outside of school. |
| Placement Services | 5 | There were a few job postings on the bulletin board at the school, but not a lot and not often. Word of mouth among students and staff made finding a job easier. |
| Alumni Network | 2 | I have never seen a newsletter or any information regarding Southeastern Neuromuscular Institute. I have also never seen it on Facebook, or any other social sites. |
