Would Recommend?yesI actually always recommend people that are interested in my profession because I know they will get a good education there. I am more than confident it will provide the best in order for you to succeed in your career.
Program Reputation9It is one of the best schools in Corpus Christi for massage. The passing scores are higher than any other massage school in town.
Program Quality8It was very one on one and back then we only had to take 300 hours, so it was fast paced. There were only two schools to choose from at the time and this one seemed to have very good ratings on test scores.
Instruction9The instructor had over 25 years experience. She was very thorough at what she taught.
How Difficult5Since I already had a good background in anatomy and physiology, it was not hard to understand. I believe my background helped me get through it.
Hands-On vs. BookishIt was a little bit of both because the test was broken down into two tests. We had the written part of the test and then the hands on part where you had to perform a massage and explain the movements.
Schedule Flexibility10There were weekday classes, night classes, and weekend classes. I did the night classes because they were easier for me.
Academic Facilities7It was small but I received a lot of group support, especially when it came to the hands on part of the curriculum.
Social LifeWe did not have any mascots or athletics because it was a small facility.
Placement Services5I didn't actually need to get a job because I went into business by myself. I did get a lot of information on starting one's own business, though.
Alumni Network9I can always go back for continued education hours or if I have any questions or concerns about the field. My instructor was always very helpful in letting us know of any updates with to state requirements, especially new laws.
