"I was satisfied. It got the job done fast and easy, although I can't say I had a lot of fun or anything like that at the school."

Would Recommend?yesMedical assisting is a job that requires just a certificate, which Everest definitely provides. Classes were flexible and I had no problem finishing the program.
Program Reputation7It's alright. There are a lot of medical assisting programs that all tend to be rather similar, so Everest seems like it's on the same level; no less, though.
Program Quality7My school did a good job, although I wish we had more experiential training. All jobs in medical assisting tend to be a little different, but that would have been nice.
Instruction8Instruction was good, although I did a decent amount of learning online. Professors were good and tried to explain things well.
How Difficult7The program wasn't too hard, although it was rather fast-paced. Help from professors really helped in order to make it more manageable.
Hands-On vs. BookishWe did both, but I think that I would have preferred more hands-on learning. When I started working, I felt that I would have liked more experiential work.
Schedule Flexibility8I did a lot of my classes online, which was great with my schedule. There wasn't a huge variation in terms of on-campus classes, but many night classes helped.
Academic Facilities8Facilities were decent, although I never really had to use them. There didn't seem to be enough space for the amount of students.
Social Life3At this school, there wasn't a huge school culture. We have no sports teams or organizations, which made it less of a spirited school.
Placement Services8Job placement was great. I knew where I wanted to go and had a few connections already, but the school really helped to solidify it.
Alumni Network2There's really not much of an alumni network. The school does use alumni to find jobs, but not as much as advertised.

"This program was great for what I was pursuing professionally."

Would Recommend?yesI'd absolutely recommend it. This program offered the hands-on training and a collaborative academic atmosphere that is required of anyone working in the medical field.
Program Reputation10During my medical school interviews I was complimented on my performance in a "competitive, well-respected" program. These interviews took place out of the state where I did my graduate education as well. Leading me to believe that it is not just a local opinion.
Program Quality10This program was unique in that we had cadaver dissection and excellent, passionate professors. They also fostered a collaborative academic atmosphere that I feel has really helped in my current position.
Instruction10Every required course (and even most of the electives) were focused on biomedical sciences for all mammals. CSU is a well-respected veterinary school as well so different species were covered but I was able to choose a "human biomedical sciences" track to best fit my goals.
How Difficult9This program was difficult, there were high expectations of students. However, students were given every opportunity and resource to succeed.
Hands-On vs. BookishAnatomy dissection was extremely hands on, as were most of our other courses. Almost every course had a lab associated with it.
Schedule Flexibility2This program was a one-year intensive Master's program. Class times were set and were not offered in multiple semesters.
Academic Facilities8Professors and advisors were always available and willing to help. Our anatomy labs and resources were great!
Social Life9Our program only had fifty or so students and we were extremely close, frequently doing things outside of school together. There was no unnecessary competition and a collaborative atmosphere.
Placement ServicesI do not have too much personal experience with the job placement and career services departments. However, I did receive emails of job postings in my career through the semesters and was offered resume assistance if I needed it.
Alumni Network7I did my undergraduate education at a large school with an incredible alumni network. So, this school is smaller and does not quite add up.

Would Recommend?yesPIMA will stick with you through thick and thin and their teachers know what they are doing.
Program Reputation10PIMA is one of the best schools to go to for future medical assistants. They aren't there to steal your money and not teach like some schools.
Program Quality9PIMA was very thorough. They could have prepared us better for injections, though.
Instruction10The instructors were both kind and intelligent. And they were easily approachable and knew how to be flexible.
How Difficult6The labs were the hardest part. The textbook part was pretty easy to understand.
Hands-On vs. BookishTheir labs/hands-on training is their strength. Very thorough and educational labs.
Schedule Flexibility9They had so many options for classes. I was grateful.
Academic Facilities9Nice, clean and lots of supplies. Sometimes they ran out of injection needles.
Social Life8I met some great people. I think PIMA teaches their students to be very loyal.
Placement Services9PIMA is always there if I want to try a new job or area of work. Love them.
Alumni Network10If I need anything, PIMA is there. And I love visiting with them.
