Would Recommend?maybeI love helping people so yes. But no because it's not a lot of money.
Program Reputation5It's a small school. It is often mistaken for Northwestern University.
Program Quality10The teachers were great. It was very hands on.
Instruction10I learned as much as I think I could. They really prepared me.
How Difficult7Everyone's learning ability is different. I think I found it harder than most.
Hands-On vs. BookishI have a hard time studying so the fact that it was also hands on helped so much. At the same time, the book knowledge helped me as well.
Schedule Flexibility10They were very flexible. I always had consistent classes, one after the next and no gaps.
Academic Facilities10We always had new books. They also used a lot of technology.
Social Life10Everyone seemed to get along. I am a very quiet person.
Placement Services10They were able to help me find a job. The training was helpful.
Alumni NetworkI haven't really looked into it. I'm sure it's good.

"I enjoyed this experience at CLC along with the people involved. The things I learned were an asset many times when I worked at different facilities, especially long-term care facilities."

Would Recommend?yesThis school is convenient and reasonable in cost for any Lake County resident. The curriculum was solid in preparing me to be a very good nurse aide.
Program Reputation10I liked the extensive experience of the instructors. Also, whenever I worked with another CLC grad, they were always competent.
Program Quality5This community college was convenient and modern. The program seemed complete and I felt prepared in the field. I did not experience anything extraordinary, however.
Instruction9The instruction was clear and logically built. The instructors were caring and recognized the individual when teaching.
How Difficult4Nurse Aide is not complicated, but there is much information that is critical. You definitely need to understand the "language" of medical terminology.
Hands-On vs. BookishWe had an entire morning of clinical but, I forget how many times a week then. I remember that we applied our book learning in clinic fairly soon. I understand that currently, it is mostly book learning.
Schedule Flexibility5Classes pretty much had to be scheduled around the cooperating hospital's schedule for clinical. Classes were offered throughout the week which helped.
Academic Facilities8The library was very well laid out and resources were not lacking. I appreciated the enthusiasm of study groups. We had a great class, but the school had excellent areas for study groups to gather.
Social LifeI did not socialize that much. I was working a full time job and had a family.
Placement Services4When I did go to career services, I was pointed to a section of want ads. I felt anything that was done could have been done at home.
Alumni NetworkThis was not part of the program. The school did have a job center for the whole campus.
