Program Reputation10Nursing grads have a high passing rate on the state boards. The grads also have a high rate of job acceptance.
Program Quality9My instructors were wonderful and the knowledge I needed to know was covered. The instructors really cared about each student.
Instruction9The instructors used many different styles of teaching to accommodate all ways of learning. The instructors also cared if you passed or not, so they went the extra mile to make sure each student knew the material.
How Difficult5It was easy for some people with some background experience or people who were good learners. It may have been difficult for some people who had to study a little more and practice a little more to get the strategies down.
Hands-On vs. BookishThere was a class followed by a lab session for all classes. You got to do both.
Schedule Flexibility5The classes are normal. The schedule for the program is the same at most schools in the area, Monday through Thursday, 8-4.
Academic Facilities9The school has good libraries and a nursing lab where you can practice on dummies. They also have a computer lab where you can use nursing computer programs for simulation.
Social Life9I loved the school. I had a good experience with the instructors and students. We all celebrated together and helped each other to complete the program.
Placement Services7Teachers inform the students of openings they know of. There is also a group email sent out to all the students when the teachers are notified of a position available. Also, resources and websites are on the Blackboard site.
Alumni Network6There was a lot of support for the students from current students, as well as for the students after they completed the program, from the instructors and from the class peers. There is a group email the instructors use to send emails to previous students.

Would Recommend?yesThis program taught me very well. I was able to go out into the real world with a great base of knowledge. I enjoy what I do and Mid Michigan really helped me pursue my career as a medical assistant.
Program Reputation9Mid Michigan has an excellent reputation. It's so good, in fact, that they have a wait list for their medical programs.
Program Quality10Mid Michigan had a great medical assisting program. We were mainstreamed with the nursing students and learned a lot from them.
Instruction10The curriculum was exactly what I thought it would be. It prepared me for real world medical assisting.
How Difficult9Anything in the medical field is challenging. However, our school provided the resources needed to help us excel.
Hands-On vs. BookishWe had a nice mix of hands on learning and book learning. We were able to study material from a book and then utilize that knowledge with hands on training.
Schedule Flexibility7This area could have been better. More night classes would have been a better option for me and I think most of my classmates would have felt the same way.
Academic Facilities9We had access to state of the art medical equipment and libraries through their affiliation with Central Michigan University.
Social Life4I did not have much time for social interaction.
Placement Services10No students graduated without at least two job offers.
Alumni Network5We did not have access to any alumni, other than professors.
