|---|---|---|
| Would Recommend? | yes | I would definitely recommend Branford Institute to others because of their excellent career options and the well organized curriculum. Additionally, the excellent, flexible schedule works very well for everyone. |
| Program Reputation | 9 | Branford Institute has a good reputation in the state of NJ for medical assistant majors. They have two campuses - one located in the city of Paterson and the other one in Elizabeth. Branford Institute is a leading vocational school in New Jersey. They offer over twelve majors associated with the medical field. |
| Program Quality | 8 | The Medical Assistant Technician program that was offered at Branford Institute in New Jersey was very good. It provided an excellent choice of courses that were very helpful to my career. Some of the courses that I took as part of the program were medical office management, medical coding, communication skills, etc. |
| Instruction | 9 | The best part about the program was that it offered hands on training of what a medical assistant would do, such as completing insurance forms and handling billing. The curriculum was very good. Through hands on activities I learned how to do medical coding and medical claims that I currently perform at my employment. |
| How Difficult | 8 | The program was difficult because most of the course work was science. Human anatomy and physiology class was challenging. It involved lots of memorizing. Also, medical practice ethics and law was difficult as well. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | Branford Institute provided hands on learning as well as book learning. I took many laboratory courses along with the regular course work. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 10 | The schedule was very flexible. I was able to take late evening classes as well as classes over the week-end. The classes never filled up because the institute offered classed at many different times during the week. |
| Academic Facilities | 10 | Branford Institute provided extremely good academic facilities and resources. The media center was newly updated and renovated. There were lots of available computers to work on. They also provided one on one tutoring services that I didn't have to pay extra for beside the tuition. The professors were also readily available when I needed them. |
| Social Life | The social experience at Branford Institute did not apply to me because I really did not spend much time at the school. Most of my studying was done at home. Since I was working full time and also studying at the same time, I did not have any time to participate in any school activities besides the academic curriculum. | |
| Placement Services | 10 | The job placement was extremely good. I was offered an internship two semesters before graduation. Eventually I was offered a permanent position. During graduation the faculty and staff were very helpful in assisting me to find good employment. |
| Alumni Network | 5 | Branford Institute is average in terms of its alumni network and support. Since I graduated I have been rarely contacted regarding any alumni programs or activities. |
