Studying Medical Assisting (completion in 2009)

"I am very satisfied because I enjoyed my time there and the friends I made. I would definitely go back if I felt I needed to or wanted to in order to further my education. I really like the religious aspect of it because that's an everyday thing for me and it's refreshing to have it in a school environment."

Would Recommend?yesI definitely would recommend it because it has helped me be very prepared for my career and it's a great place to meet friends. The instructors generally care for your well-being and academic success.
Program Reputation10I think it's pretty good because they hold such high standards. It's pretty hard to get in because you have to have an Ecclesiastical endorsement (Bishop, religious leader).
Program Quality10The teachers were really good. They were nice, but not easy on us.
Instruction10The teachers taught a lot using kindness and were usually willing to work with me if certain situations came up. I felt very prepared going into the field.
How Difficult7It was hard getting through Anatomy and Physiology, and I'm not a big math fan either. It was fun learning and very interesting. I was very excited to get into the workplace.
Hands-On vs. BookishIt's a good mix. They recommend you study hard for tests/quizzes, but also (especially in the medical field) there needs to be a lot of hands on work, which there was.
Schedule Flexibility9They are definitely all about helping the student get an education because they offer a variety of classes and days/times. That's really helpful when you're trying to work and go to school.
Academic Facilities9They have a lot of study places, a good library with computers, good labs, good classroom space, and tutors are very available. The professors are usually available between class times.
Social Life8They have lots of social events and good school spirit although there are no athletics at this time. I didn't participate in a lot of school activities because I just wanted to get home to my new husband.
Placement Services10They helped me get an internship and through that I was able to get a job. I was very pleased.
Alumni Network10They contact me with surveys on how I'm doing in the field and also how the school did teaching when I was there. They have reunions too, which is good.
