Would Recommend?yesOver all I had a very good experience at the University of Arkansas. I am very pleased with the education I received.
Program Reputation5U o fA is a state funded facility and lacks the funding to be a true leader. The education provided at U of A will prepare an individual for a career.
Program Quality4I found that U of A lagged a little behind in technology when I was there. Over all I received a good education, just on older equipment.
Instruction8My instructor made very clear the concepts she was conveying. She was very helpful to those who had difficulty.
How Difficult2I found the course work to be very easy to follow. While others struggled from time to time, I was able to grasp the concepts very easily.
Hands-On vs. BookishI found the program to be just the right mix of hands on and book learning. There were plenty of labs as well as current literature.
Schedule Flexibility8Class flexibility is very good. U of A offers night, weekend, and summer courses.
Academic Facilities8The facilities were recently upgraded as I left the school. I found the resources on campus to be above average.
Social Life6I am not a very social person. There were ample social events and gatherings.
Placement Services4Job placement is difficult at U of A. Fortunately I was able to find employment on my own.
Alumni Network5The Alumni at U of A does not get overly involved with students. I do receive mailings from time to time.

Would Recommend?yesI would recommend my school to others looking into the computer industry. University of Arkansas strives to continually keep pace with the technologies of the day.
Program Reputation8University of Arkansas is one of the better public schools in the area. I believe that their tuition rates could be lower, though.
Program Quality8The program was just beginning when I was at the school and lacked some of the areas of study. The staff and facilities were excellent.
Instruction8The instructors were fairly knowledgeable about their course materials. Objectives were lined out in great detail well before due dates.
How Difficult3For me, computer/network studies are a passion. I continue to learn new things every day.
Hands-On vs. BookishThe University of Arkansas provided a good mix of lecture and hands on lab work. The Computer equipment at the University was up to standards.
Schedule Flexibility8Several of my instructors recognized my motivation and base of knowledge coming into class. One instructor even went as far as to tell me it was ok if I just showed up for tests.
Academic Facilities8The University of Arkansas is a fine school with high academic standards. I would recommend it to just about any student looking for a reputable school.
Social Life5I am not an overly social person. I found that the classmates at the University were very eager to form study groups.
Placement Services6I received little assistance with job placement. There was very little call for persons in my field at the time.
Alumni Network8The alumni are very good at communicating events at the University. I find that I am very well informed.

Would Recommend?yesFor those employed in tech but lacking a degree it is a great choice. Many programs are tailored for working students.
Program Reputation8ASU is considered by many to have a good reputation, including the program I completed.
Program Quality7School only prepares you for so much. The real value comes from on the job training.
Instruction8The professors were all fairly knowledgeable. Some of the technology was not up to date though.
How Difficult7Most of the classes were easy. A few, like the more in-depth CISCO classes, proved to be challenging.
Hands-On vs. BookishThe majority was book learning, but a few classes had hardware aspects.
Schedule Flexibility9Many classes are offered online. They also have many evening courses.
Academic Facilities9ASU always had excellent facilities. Any time you needed assistance with anything there were many options available.
Social Life5I was an older student, and had other responsibilities than the social aspect of college.
Placement ServicesI haven't used their services. From what I have heard the are fair.
Alumni NetworkThey send out frequent updates. I have yet to utilize many of the services they offer.
