"I feel the school could have offered better job placement assistance. Contacting instructors and advisors is very difficult."

Ratings are on a 1-10 scale

Would Recommend?noThere are much better institutions offering more services to students. The school no longer offers the program due to a lack of enrollment.
Program Reputation4Even though it is a technical community college, there isn't a well know program for the IT field. The institution appears to pride itself more in the non-technical fields.
Program Quality4The classes were not informative when compared to the examinations. Job placement programs with the college were non-existent.
Instruction7The instructor appeared to know the material well, but did not deliver it in an effective fashion. Class time was not well spent to ensure students were actually learning the material.
How Difficult5When compared to other classes the difficulty was not that much different. The workload was moderate to heavy depending on the material presented.
Hands-On vs. BookishThe mix of lab and book exercises are well balanced. Lab exercises are geared to be directly related to real world experiences as opposed to textbook examples.
Schedule Flexibility1There was only one class time available for the program I was enrolled in. Time to make up for missed classes was not given.
Academic Facilities5The school has 24 hour library access. Labs are equipped with the minimal equipment, most of which is aging to the point of being non-functional.
Social Life2The school has no athletics program. Organized social events, parties, etc. are discouraged.
Placement Services3There is no job placement service available. Career services are available on a minimal basis for additional costs.
Alumni Network1There is no alumni program at the institution. Once you have completed the programs, there is no further assistance or programs available without re-enrollment.

Would Recommend?yesCertainly would. Overall it was a good experience.
Program Reputation5Good, I suppose. I've never really heard much about it.
Program Quality5They should have required me to take Sys Admin II, but didn't. I had to learn much of the stuff I do now as I did it.
Instruction4
How Difficult5Data structures was really hard, but other than that it wasn't that hard.
Hands-On vs. BookishIn computer science, most of our projects were hands on, which really helped me out. I can't learn just from reading a book.
Schedule Flexibility7Great. Always had enough classes for me to schedule them around work.
Academic Facilities4Not the best. I would have liked better computers. Digital Media always got new tech before us.
Social Life4I didn't go out as much as others. No sports or parties.
Placement Services7I didn't need to use them, but my friends did and they were able to find jobs.
Alumni Network1I've never been contacted by anyone about it.
