"The education was enough to pass the state test. But it was unrealistic for what happens in real life."

Would Recommend?noThere's better places to receive an education. Being a health aide isn't as rewarding as most would think. The burnout rate is rather high in my area. You don't do this job for money.
Program Reputation1Most CNAs who go through the program don't stay with the job. The program doesn't prepare students for what happens in real life.
Program Quality5The class taught what was needed in order to pass the state test. It didn't teach what actually happens in the field.
Instruction5Instruction allowed me to pass the state test, though the instructors didn't work in the same field as the students.
How Difficult1It wasn't challenging. There was no real work load.
Hands-On vs. BookishConsidering that it's in the health field, there was a good mixture of both. We had dummies for practice and demonstrations and a textbook for theory.
Schedule Flexibility1The classes were only offered Monday through Friday. There were no flexible options.
Academic Facilities1There were no labs, computers, libraries or other facilities. Instructors only knew how to pass the state test.
Social Life5There was a good range of networking abilities, I got to meet new people.
Placement Services9The program helps students find jobs but not ones they keep in the long run. Most students go right to work after finishing the program but very few stay more than six months.
Alumni Network1There is no network or support.
