"The only complaint is the difficulty in the financial aid, as the cost of enrollment is high."

Would Recommend?yesFor anyone who needs to do it in their own time, or doesn't have childcare, this is perfect. It could be more cost effective though.
Program Reputation5Just starting to get marketing out and now becoming better known.
Program Quality6The school is very good at working with students, and understanding their needs and demands.
Instruction5I had a difficult time understanding and viewing the video instruction for my algebra course.
How Difficult5It is challenging yet interesting and not impossible.
Hands-On vs. BookishIt is all at your own pace and from your home, so most of the work is straight from the book until you take an internship.
Schedule Flexibility6You choose your own schedule, however once you enroll you must complete the degree or if a break is necessary you must re-enroll.
Academic Facilities6All services are provided online, or by phone during business hours so facilities are not a major concern.
Social Life3It was an online course but I do know that they held events at different campuses all the time.
Alumni Network6Communication with other students and alumni is available through discussion boards for specific degrees.

"Overall I learned what I set out to do, so the program was fine for me."

Would Recommend?yesI would even more so now because of the improvements made to the program.
Program Reputation10I heard they have improved the course and the clinical rotations, which I am sure is great for the new students.
Program Quality10The instructors were great and the material was provided in a very understandable manner.
Instruction10Instructors were fantastic, but they were tough, which was good too.
How Difficult5Completing the clinicals was the tough part - the shift rotations and the various departments.
Hands-On vs. BookishWe had textbooks, but the real “putting what we learned to practice” was in the clinicals.
Schedule Flexibility3Not very flexible because of the clinicals. Clinicals had to be done as scheduled.
Academic Facilities9Great resources, both at the college and at the various hospitals for clinicals.
Social Life6Actually it was pretty good. Everyone was friendly and I still know a few people in the field I went to classes with.
Placement Services4They really do not have a job placement service per se. When you do your clinicals you might just get your foot in the door, if you do well.
Alumni Network5From what I learned from it, it was very good. I did not really get into much of that though.

Would Recommend?yesI would absolutely recommend this program. The teacher was very knowledgeable and caring. The material that was covered fully prepared me. One of the best programs in the county.
Program Reputation10The school has a great reputation. Most of the PCA techs that I know have graduated from this school's program.
Program Quality10This program gave me all the skills that I needed. I was given hands-on as well as book knowledge.
Instruction10My teacher was a very knowledgeable RN. She gave us real-life knowledge and let us know what to REALLY expect.
How Difficult2The PCA program is very easy. Most of the material is basic common sense.
Hands-On vs. BookishThe program is probably 50/50, as far as hands on vs. book learning. We spent a lot of time in facilities, to make sure we understood the proper techniques to do our jobs.
Schedule Flexibility1Because this is such a short class, there were very specific times when the class could be held. My understanding was that they run them constantly, but only during normal school times.
Academic Facilities10We did clinicals in all types of healthcare settings. Our teacher was available anytime day or night for us, if we had questions.
Social LifeThis is a very short program. There isn't an opportunity for us to get involved with many of the social programs.
Placement Services9The last week of school, we had a job fair. Most of the students had job offers before we graduated.
Alumni NetworkI am not sure about the alumni support. It was a very short course.

Would Recommend?maybeThe price is a factor, and the teachers that taught me are no longer there.
Program ReputationNot really sure what their reputation is.
Program Quality8The school provided me with the tools I needed to pass the CNA and patient care exams.
Instruction9I have two very good RNs that taught me what I needed to know.
How Difficult3The material was pretty straight forward if you read and paid attention in class.
Hands-On vs. BookishWe would read the chapter and then do any hands work if it pertained to the chapter.
Schedule Flexibility5The classes were at night.
Academic Facilities5Some lab equipment needed to be updated and they ran out of medical supplies to practice with, but overall they had what we needed.
Social Life5They had events for those who wanted to participate.
Placement Services3They didn't help with job placement, but they did have me do an externship at a hospital for experience.
