Would Recommend?yesIt was a great program. I felt well prepared to enter into the real world of nursing assistants.
Program Reputation8It is one of the top 3 junior colleges in the United States.
Program Quality10Teachers were experienced and gave great hands-on examples. The book was easy to understand and I enjoyed the coursework. Clinicals were put together well and I gained a lot of hands-on experience.
Instruction9The teachers were very knowledgeable about caring for the elderly. They prepped me for what I would face on the job and I feel as though I was sufficiently prepared.
How Difficult3The coursework was extremely easy for me, but that was due to the fact that I loved what I was doing. I can see how some might struggle with the coursework, however.
Hands-On vs. BookishIt was split fairly evenly, until we started rotating floors.
Schedule Flexibility3I could only miss three hours of class in order to earn enough hours to take the state licensure exam.
Academic Facilities9They had everything we needed to practice on-the-job skills.
Social Life9I still remain in contact with a few of the people I met in my class.
Placement Services10I was hired at the same place where my clinicals took place.
Alumni Network1The institution I received my certification at did not have an alumni network.
