"I enjoyed my time at my school. I think a bigger school would have yielded more opportunities, but I enjoyed the time I had at the school and feel like it prepared me well."

Would Recommend?yesStudents who attend my school will get a good education that will prepare them well for the physical therapy profession. They will learn what they need to thanks to small class sizes and professors who do care about you.
Program Reputation5The school is not nationally known as a physical therapy school, but the size of the school probably hurts it. Many professors have published research and attended major conferences.
Program Quality10My school gave me a very comprehensive background on the material needed to be a successful entry level therapist. I felt well prepared to take my licensure exam and start my initial job.
Instruction7I feel as though my instructors all had a good background on the subjects they were teaching. All of the instructors are practicing therapists, which helped with clinical applicability.
How Difficult8Physical therapy school is a demanding academic program, especially for those seeking a Doctoral degree. I would advise anyone entering this major to have a very strong work ethic.
Hands-On vs. BookishThere are lots of relevant experiences built into the coursework. I feel like there is a pretty good mix as you are able to take courses and then go out and practice what you learned.
Schedule Flexibility3The physical therapy program is very structured and you are given very little flexibility.
Academic Facilities5The school is very small and the resources are adequate for the size. However, it cannot compete with larger universities.
Social Life3As a small private school, athletics are not a huge priority. I think lots of school spirit comes from academic teams, and our school's teams do not perform very well.
Placement Services8Right now finding physical therapy jobs is not difficult, but we do receive many emails about job openings. They also host resume building and career fair workshops.
Alumni Network5UE is a very small school and alumni support is lacking. It is very unfortunate because I feel we have many generous donors, but also some who do not contribute at all.

Would Recommend?maybeThe program has drastically changed since I graduated as it shifted from a Master's to a Doctorate level degree. Therefore, I can't say exactly how it would be today versus five years ago.
Program Reputation8The program is well thought of in Indiana. Students from the program do well in clinicals.
Program Quality5The program was excessively difficult. The staff was not the most knowledgeable or effective at teaching at times.
Instruction5Much of the information was not useful in the real world. There were several excellent components to the program.
How Difficult10The program required many hours of studying every single day. Tests were often excessively complex and difficult.
Hands-On vs. BookishAll programs are required to be a mix of hands on and book learning. The school did well here.
Schedule Flexibility1There was no flexibility in the professional portion of the program. Options even in undergraduate studies were severally limited due to the therapy program's schedule.
Academic Facilities5The actual facilities on campus were excellent. However, research had to be conducted primarily off campus and at the students' expense.
Social Life10Their were many excellent organizations. The school was an excellent place to enjoy the college experience.
Placement Services2There was no assistance or involvement from the school in terms of jobs placement. The career services component was very underdeveloped.
Alumni Network5I have chosen not to be involved in my school any more. The network has still found me several times.
