"I am very satisfied with my school. It hasn't let me down yet. It gets tough every once in a while, but if its not hard then I believe you aren't learning enough."
Ratings are on a 1-10 scale
| Characteristic | Rating | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Would Recommend? | yes | I would recommend it to anyone who would like to go into audiology as a career. They offer very in depth instruction about what you will be doing in the field. They will also help you get a job after college if you have done well, which is a major plus on their part. |
| Program Reputation | 5 | I'd say they are average but I never really looked into any other schools for this program. I lived near the university so I was sure I was going here. |
| Program Quality | 9 | Ohio State is a good university with a good program. The teachers are willing to help and they helped get my job. |
| Instruction | 8 | They have taught me much of what I will need for my career. What they haven't taught me I will undoubtedly pick up while working. |
| How Difficult | 7 | It hasn't been too difficult for me to follow so far. However the homework for some of the courses is ridiculous. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | I would say at school it is more book work, but that is what job experience is for, I suppose. Also, I find the book very informative. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 4 | There isn't that much flexibility for me, per se. I have a lot of homework and papers are fairly lengthy. I suppose it would just depend on if you also have a job, which I do, so my schedule is more filled than someone who is without one. |
| Academic Facilities | 8 | The library is very good. I go there often for my homework and they usually have exactly what I need. The textbooks are good and the teachers are very accessible. |
| Social Life | 6 | I haven't been that into the college scene really. I have been to a few sporting events and they are all very fun and energetic. The same goes for other social activities. The spirit around the school is good. |
| Placement Services | 9 | I got my job through the university so I'd have to rate it pretty highly. They introduced me to an alum of the school who in turn got me a job at a clinic, so they are pretty good at it. |
| Alumni Network | 7 | They have a decent amount of alumni that help the students get jobs and help after college. I got my job through one of the alums. |
