"Great school. I think it could have used more personalization, though."

Would Recommend?yesI think the school gives a great education to its students. I believe that for the money you are really getting a great experience.
Program Reputation10Great place to send your children to go to school. They are known for their educational stature.
Program Quality5I believe that BU could have offered more experiences in the field. Also, they could have helped me find a better job.
Instruction7Teachers at BU were great but could have been more diversified. Great class rooms and level of work.
How Difficult6The work was not that difficult. Could have used more real world experiences.
Hands-On vs. BookishThere is not much book learning anymore. Even books come electronically now and make it easier to work.
Schedule Flexibility8Too many students to allow too much flexibility. More staff would've been nice.
Academic Facilities8They need more areas to work on computers. It would be nice if they had better programs to work on.
Social Life9Frats and sororities were abundant. Great school spirit.
Placement Services8They tried to place me and help me as much as possible. I could have used more follow up.
Alumni Network6Lacking in support for the alumni. Great networking opportunities, though.

"I would do it all over again. I was very satisfied and managed to pay for it as I went through - another bonus."

Would Recommend?yesThe great faculty and the convenience of the schedule were both incredible. Also, the peers you study with are a great resource.
Program Reputation10I think that the school I chose is a good one and the program is not only surviving but thriving and growing. My sister just got her PhD through the same program and is experiencing great success.
Program Quality9My Masters program was a good one intellectually and the colleagues I met were an excellent resource for me. My professors were knowledgeable and had practical professional experience.
Instruction8Some professors were very strong and others were not. Some were too academic and didn't offer any practical advice that could be useful in the work environment.
How Difficult7Because all those in the program were also working full time, I think the course work was geared to what a person could reasonably be expected to do while working a 40 hour work week. I think if we had been in the program full time-they would have expected more from us.
Hands-On vs. BookishWe did lots of case study work, and this was a great combination of book and practical knowledge. Overall, a very good mix.
Schedule Flexibility10I was able to attend nights and weekends which made the program do-able for me while working full time. I think a professional program needs this flexibility.
Academic Facilities8The campus resources and library were very effective and had great hours. The campus needed an injection of funds, but since that time they have done a HUGE capital campaign.
Social LifeI have no idea and no experience with this. I was there only on nights and weekends and wasn't there for any social events. Professional graduate degrees rarely involve these functions.
Placement Services8The program is there to be used. It seems like it has the most current capabilities. However, I'm unsure as I haven't used it.
Alumni Network8While I am not choosing to be active in the network, I do receive mailings which tell of lots of events and networking possibilities. Also, I have never used the carer services offered at the school, but I know they are there.
