Program Reputation9The University of Montana has a great reputation. It is considered one of the better journalism schools in the West.
Program Quality8My school prepared me very well for my original career in newspapers, but not quite as well for public relations. It was a more journalism-related program.
Instruction8I thought my classes were relevant and important. They were practical.
How Difficult5My class load seemed average. I didn't feel overloaded.
Hands-On vs. BookishMy classes were practical and useful. We reported on actual events, designed graphics, and did work in our future fields.
Schedule Flexibility3My classes were all traditional, daytime classes. Online classes weren't the norm when I was in school.
Academic Facilities8They always had the latest in computers. There were good facilities for studying.
Social Life10The University of Montana was a wonderful place for a social life. There was plenty to do.
Placement Services3I don't think I've heard of a job placement program from my university. If there is one, it isn't active.
Alumni Network8The alumni association reaches out often. They are good at keeping track of former students.
