Program Quality9I felt the classes prepared me very well for the work force. I had excellent teachers who worked with me to get the most out of my education. I would recommend the programs to others.
Instruction8The majority of the teachers I had were experienced professionals before teaching. This gives you comfort as a student knowing that the people that are teaching you know what it is like to work in the real world.
How Difficult7We were required to think critically and complete relevant projects. I had experience selling, presenting, giving speeches, creating business and advertising plans to assist me after college. I have taken advantage of those skills in the work place.
Hands-On vs. BookishThere is a good mix of hands on learning with book learning. In the school of business along with text book learning you have the opportunity to compete in sales competitions and business simulations.
Schedule Flexibility10UWEC has excellent flexibility with class scheduling. Aside from the traditional class offerings, UWEC offers summer, winter, night, and online options to help students get their degree even if they take the non traditional route.
Academic Facilities8Eau Claire is constantly improving their academic environment, updating labs and technology to help students learn. They are currently rebuilding their student center to a more updated and modern facility.
Social Life8UWEC has an excellent sports program and facilities that help students get together and enjoy the school extracurricular activities. They are many student organizations, campus events, Greek clubs, and a very active downtown bar scene.
Placement Services9UW-Eau Claire provides a service to set students up in a private job search network with prime employers. This service is good for life upon graduation.
