Would Recommend?yesFor someone pursuing a similar career, I would highly recommend Elmira for everything they have done for me.
Program Reputation8I know a lot of people who have remained strong and accomplished their majors. Elmira helped them through the process every step of the way.
Program Quality9They provide everything I need and helped me get to the place I am now. One of the big problems was that the dorms were too small for the price.
Instruction9The professors were great. Elmira really made sure that they pick some of the best teachers around. There were many opportunities to excel with the library and hands-on practice.
How Difficult7They really did challenge me, it got very confusing at times. There was always someone willing to help.
Hands-On vs. BookishIt is an even mix of learning styles. You never have too much of one thing; something I loved about Elmira.
Schedule Flexibility7You really weren't able to miss much without falling behind.
Academic Facilities10Their library is incredible, they had all the right books I needed for my classes.
Social Life8I made many friends. When the school had football games going on we all hung out there and enjoyed our free time.
Placement Services9They helped a lot with my career and without them I wouldn't be where I am today.
Alumni Network8It was very good and helped me out a lot.

"Very satisfied with the program. The social scene is what causes the rating of 8 instead of 10."

Would Recommend?yesGreat price for in-state students. U.B. provides an excellent education for the price.
Program Reputation7Even though I thought the school was topnotch, other people only think it's above average. I seem to know just as much as or more than other nurses.
Program Quality10We had the best professors and always were treated as professionals. I would go back to U.B. in a heartbeat.
Instruction10The professors really knew what they were talking about, and they always knew how to get their message across. Even though it was a big school, they were very personal.
How Difficult8I've had harder work in my engineering courses. They still provided a good deal of challenge.
Hands-On vs. BookishA pretty good mix of both.
Schedule Flexibility4It was a small program. The classes were only offered at specific times.
Academic Facilities8Great libraries and labs. Always got a tutor when necessary.
Social Life5Poor athletics and Greek scene, but there were plenty of clubs and activities going on. School spirit was lacking.
Placement Services6Not the best, but I found a job. Nice internships in local hospitals available.
Alumni Network5I think it could certainly be better. Students need to have more pride in their schooling.
