"The school's instructors do not know how to help students learn. The cost is too expensive."

Would Recommend?noToo expensive to attend. Also, you do not learn enough to start a career.
Program Reputation1I Don't feel like the reputation of the program is very good due to a lack of students attending. Also, the reputation, according to my experience, is that they do not provide real help for alumni in finding jobs.
Program Quality5The school was very structured and the path to graduate was clear and it was affordable. I thought the school was very easy and did not teach me much.
Instruction2Did not learn much and the curriculum was not followed by instructors. Lots of open book tests.
How Difficult1There were lots of open book tests. There were also team projects and hands on projects.
Hands-On vs. BookishWe had several hands on projects. There were also some hands on tests and group tests.
Schedule Flexibility3They do offer day and night classes. The summer classes are not worth taking.
Academic Facilities1The computers on campus are very old some are donated. Also the library is a joke - it's very old.
Social Life1No school spirt. Also no social events or athletics.
Placement Services1The job placement is a joke - jobs that pay 8 bucks an hour. Also, some job are with temp services.
Alumni Network1Alumni network does not exist. The support after graduation is there to help find a job, but the jobs offered did not pay much.

"I was extremely satisfied with the college that I attended. I just wish that there was more opportunity in the area that I currently live in for the degree that I have. This would give me more options for job employment."

Would Recommend?yesYes I would recommend Arkansas State to others. It provides an excellent experience in the field of business and offers real world experiences that you may not be able to find at other colleges.
Program Reputation10Arkansas State University is currently ranked as one of the best college by A World Report U.S. News in 2012. Also the Business program is great, and one that you will not find at every college, due to the interaction you receive from instructors and other International students.
Program Quality8The business program that I was involved in provided me with many opportunities before graduation. It allowed me to be a part of an internship in order to get real world experience. Also it provided multiple opportunities for global experiences.
Instruction8The curriculum is great as it provides a wide range of classes. But I do wish that some class were more focused on how they would do the same problem in a real work place situation.
How Difficult9The classes in the business program can be very time consuming depending on the type of class it involved. Accounting always involved a lot of paper work in order to understand the assignment. Also the different types of classes in the business program could be very simple, you just needed to read and actually understand the course work that is being presented to you in the book which could be intense at times.
Hands-On vs. BookishThe business program that I was in provided a mix of hands-on learning with the computer or real world business learning. However, it provided a lot of understand and knowledge from classes taken earlier in the program.
Schedule Flexibility10The class schedule flexibility was very good at Arkansas State. They provided class during the day, night, online and by distance learning methods. Also some courses would be offered year around or during the summer, fall or spring.
Academic Facilities10Most resources were up to date for students to use and have immediate access to. If there was a need for a certain tutor or study group usually the department was already working on getting one started because they did not want to see someone fall behind. My academic advisor was great as he allowed me to understand what I needed to take and he already knew when it would be offered. This helped so I would not fall behind by taking a class in the wrong semester.
Social Life8School spirit is extremely high at Arkansas State. We offer a variety of sports to play like football, rugby, basketball and baseball. Also the college has many paternities and sororities to choose from.
Placement Services7The college provided an excellent website to place your resume for potential employers. They also provided multiple job fairs each semester with different employers in the market. However, some jobs want individuals with that degree but with more experience or they may not have a current need for someone with your degree.
Alumni Network6There is a strong alumni network from Arkansas State that is very involved in planning activities for alumni to attend. I still have contact with some of my past professors to help with support in looking for employment or continuing my education in the Master's program.
