"I had a really good time, and I have a hard time seeing myself having gone anywhere else. Still, my friends who went to other schools had some pretty rad stories."

Would Recommend?maybeSociology is not really a very valuable major, it seems. I got my job because I have a degree - nobody cared what it was in. So, if you're looking for a low level sales manager position, then yes, go to Keene State, or any party school, and get a degree.
Program Reputation7I think small New England schools benefit from a good reputation in sociology.
Program Quality5My school isn't recognized for much, and not many people have heard of it. However, the education is good and I feel as well educated as most of the people I meet.
Instruction8Professors all have doctoral degrees now, and I knew I'd have to get a job to pay off my student loans. We read a lot as well, which I hear is less and less common in undergraduate programs.
How Difficult5I struggled with papers from time to time, but I always had time to party.
Hands-On vs. BookishI don't know how much hands on learning there can be for a sociology major. However, it was almost entirely book learning, so I have to give this a rating of 5/10.
Schedule Flexibility7There are summer options, and missing class is not the end of the world. If you miss class you can usually negotiate away any penalty, and that's if anyone even notices. That's the height of flexibility, wouldn't you say?
Academic Facilities9With shared libraries and internet databases, my school seems to have resources that can match any major university. There is also plenty of quiet space in which to study.
Social Life10Parties all the time, good social atmosphere, significant amount of sports. Everyone up here has a good attitude and would love to introduce you to someone else.
Placement Services1I had no job placement. I found my own job. If I was to want help, it would have taken considerable work to receive it.
Alumni Network5I'm not really familiar with the alumni network. Perhaps that's because it is not very good. Either way, I made it on my own.
Review your current or past school and help others make better career decisions.
