Would Recommend?yesIf everyone had my schooling, the world would be a better place. I cannot say enough how incredible this school is.
Program Reputation9Arkansas is a school that is up there in the public's eye. The economics program follows suit.
Program Quality10The teachers were a joy to work with. The facilities were excellent.
Instruction8With the exception of a couple teachers, my instruction was excellent. The teachers and TAs were friendly and helpful.
How Difficult8The class work was more time-consuming than challenging, but there were instances where the work was difficult.
Hands-On vs. BookishThere were many hands-on opportunities, but there was an equal amount of book learning.
Schedule Flexibility10It was almost completely up to me when I wanted my classes to be. Very nice.
Academic Facilities9The facilities were outstanding! I was very impressed.
Social Life10I made a ton of lifetime friends. It was the best college experience I could have asked for.
Placement Services8Although I met with the career placement staff, I found my job on my own. They were no doubt helpful, though.
Alumni Network10It is amazing. I'm involved, and we do charity, meetings, scholarships and more.

Would Recommend?yesI would recommend this program to other teachers. This program will better prepare them for a career in education.
Program Reputation10This school has a very good reputation in education. Many programs are far too easy and students do not learn necessary skills. My school thrives in a program that prepares leaders.
Program Quality8My school does a very good job of allowing me to teach advanced skills like web design. My only complaint is that there should be more availability of technology.
Instruction8My program of study tried to provide real-world training. Many of the assignments were field-based, which gave me the opportunity to see principles in action.
How Difficult10This program was very difficult. It was nice that it was online, but each week contained 15 - 20 hours worth of coursework.
Hands-On vs. BookishThis program was a good mix. There were many book-learning activities, but there were many field experience activities as well.
Schedule Flexibility10This is one of the main reasons I chose this school. Classes are all offered online through this school.
Academic Facilities9This school had very good resources. The online software that they used made the program very enjoyable.
Social LifeThis program was entirely online. I did not have any involvement in school functions.
Placement ServicesI'm not sure about this. I did not need these services.
Alumni NetworkI'm not really sure about the alumni network. The school does have good support for students to access.

"I was satisfied with my university experience in the overall scheme of things. Tuition was reasonable, academic resources were available, and professors were knowledgeable and helpful."

Would Recommend?yesI would recommend that people pursuing a career in music education attend this university. I was pleased with the tuition, academic resources and professors.
Program Reputation8It is starting to receive more recognition for its online degree programs, particularly in the area of master's degrees.
Program Quality10My university is very dedicated to ensuring its students receive a well-rounded education. The instructors are supportive of curriculum needs, as well as ideas to evolve the curriculum to fit the needs of its students.
Instruction9The quality of instruction was very good, particularly considering the tuition amount. There were numerous opportunities to get real-world experience, which has helped me with my present career.
How Difficult5The curriculum was challenging enough, yet not so challenging that it involved an unexpected amount of time. The work was able to be submitted in a variety of methods to ensure ease of interaction.
Hands-On vs. BookishThere was ample opportunity for hands-on learning, although I do feel that there could have been more internship opportunities prior to the actual student teaching experience. The primary tool in the classroom, as one might expect, is lecture - at least in my experience.
Schedule Flexibility8Schedules are very flexible in terms of the amount of classes that are offered at one time, both on campus and online. Professors are good about making modifications as needed, to allow for scheduling conflicts.
Academic Facilities9The academic resources available were good. The library was very accessible, both on campus and online. The media and computer resources were generous, with the campus providing free copies of certain software to registered students. Classroom sizes were adequate. Academic advisors were knowledgeable. Professor accessibility, in my experience, was excellent.
Social Life5I did not involve myself very much in the social aspect of the university experience. The school spirit and athletics piece of things seems to be fairly low key, as are organized social events.
Placement Services2I did not receive any assistance with my career placement. I was prepared in a manner which would give me an idea of how to go about it, but the university itself did not offer assistance with career placement.
Alumni Network5I receive a decent amount of by-mail contact from the university. However, it is primarily only requesting money to support its programs, rather than advertising upcoming events.

Would Recommend?yesYes, I believe that anyone would love to be apart of my school because of the students and administration.
Program Reputation10We offer most degree options at our school and give classes that lead to the degree of their choice.
Program Quality10I work at a private Christian school and the administration there is beyond amazing.
Instruction10The quality of teaching at my school is beyond amazing. They hire only the best to teach the students.
How Difficult10We offer some of the highest level classes in the state. Many of our students graduate with an ACT score of above a 30.
Hands-On vs. BookishWe like to have different learning experiences for the different learning styles to reach all learners.
Schedule Flexibility10We offer all classes whether it be at night, morning, or online classes.
Academic Facilities10We are known for having some of the best buildings around.
Social Life10Our school has some of the best athletes that compete nationally. We do have many social events throughout the year to help encourage student relations.

"My satisfaction is average. Were I given the chance to do it again, I would attend the same program and university."

Ratings are on a 1-10 scale

CharacteristicRatingComment
Would Recommend?yesI would recommend the school to others interested in the same career. I would also warn them about the difficult nature of being a teacher, but that isn't related to the school it self.
Program Reputation5It's an average program at an average university. Nothing more I can say about that.
Program Quality5My program at the University of Arkansas was average. The University was good and so was the social scene.
Instruction7The professors were great. They were all very knowledgeable, friendly, and well prepared for classes.
How Difficult4The coursework was extremely easy. Compared to friends who studied engineering and science, I had many hours of free time.
Hands-On vs. BookishIt was a great mix, but it's absolutely necessary to gain hands on experience in teacher training programs. This program probably had the ideal mix of book learning and hands on learning.
Schedule Flexibility5The class times were set in stone. Graduate students taught the lower level classes, which were often early in the morning. Tenured professors taught the higher level classes, which were usually at hours they wanted to teach.
Academic Facilities5Everything in this category was simply average. We had computer labs, a large library, and an academic advisor. Class space was adequate. I never used tutoring services.
Social LifeI wasn't involved with the social experience at my school. One doesn't go to university to make friends - education is the reason you're at university.
Placement ServicesI never used my school's job placement services. I suppose such a service exists.
Alumni NetworkI'm not involved with my school's alumni organization. There doesn't seem to be a point in being involved with it.
