"I think my school is one of the best places one can go for a degree in education. The amount of support available and the quality of teaching were topnotch, and I would go there again if I had to do it all over."

Would Recommend?yesI would undoubtedly recommend my school to others pursuing my career. In fact, I have already done so!
Program Reputation9Concordia University Nebraska has a great reputation in education. Elementary and early childhood education is perhaps more highly valued than secondary education, however.
Program Quality10Concordia University Nebraska specializes in training teachers, and does so effectively. I graduated fully prepared to succeed as a high school teacher.
Instruction9The instruction that I received was excellent. At times, the relevance or quality of the curriculum may have been lacking.
How Difficult4Education is an easy program of study, until practicum is required. Student teaching was not easy at all, but it was a particularly beneficial learning experience.
Hands-On vs. BookishThere is a good combination of hands on and book learning at my school. Much of the classroom work centers on book learning, but requires a significant amount of hands-on practicum experience as well.
Schedule Flexibility9My school offers many different options for class scheduling. While I was a student, I took summer classes as well as evening classes, and I had the option to take online classes as well.
Academic Facilities6Professors are abundantly accessible at my school, and tutoring and other academic support is excellent. Facilities, however, particularly the library and media/computer resources, are outdated.
Social Life10The social experience at my school is excellent. It is a small, residential campus known for its close, family-like atmosphere.
Placement Services10My school does all it can to ensure that graduates find jobs in their field. Generally, graduates are successful in doing so.
Alumni NetworkI have been a graduate of my school for less than a year. As a result, I have little to no experience with the alumni network and support as of yet.

"I feel like I gained a large amount of knowledge from my degree. I also gained more perspective, and I have been opened to an entire new world of research."

Would Recommend?yesIt was overall a very beneficial experience. The price isn't too high, and it was a great program.
Program Reputation8Some people think the material is too intense for the summer. Others feel that the material is not relevant to public school teachers.
Program Quality10The professors were wonderful! I felt like each class was worth the time and money. I loved the campus, the people, and the classes.
Instruction10The quality of instruction was very good. I enjoyed my professors and the class materials.
How Difficult8Because I completed my program in the summer, all of the material was condensed. However, the workload remained the same as if it were a regular-length semester. It was a large amount of work, but worth it in the end.
Hands-On vs. BookishThe Master of Music Education program is a nice balance of book and hands on. There are actual teaching opportunities throughout the program.
Schedule Flexibility9Considering I completed my degree during the summers, it is very flexible. They are making more options for online classes. However, this is the only graduate music degree offered that can be completed in the summer.
Academic Facilities6The music library and music tech lab are both very nice and well kept. The classrooms are pretty typical. Accessibility of professors is inadequate, but that may just be only in the summer.
Social Life10Athletics are topnotch. Organized social events, including music events, are always available.
Placement ServicesI did not use the career services. I worked on my degree while employed at my current job.
Alumni NetworkI am frequently contacted by the alumni association, but I don't respond. I am sure the activities they plan are wonderful.
