Would Recommend?yesI would recommend the education program at WVU to anyone. I was very pleased with the program in all respects.
Program Reputation8WVU definitely isn't Harvard. However, I think the education program there is fairly well respected. It was good enough to land me a job before I even graduated.
Program Quality8I really enjoyed my time at WVU. The education department was always very helpful. I felt like my time there prepared me for my job.
Instruction8I think the professors at WVU were very good. They seemed to go out of their way to make the instruction and assignments relevant to the real world.
How Difficult4I thought the program at WVU was fairly easy. In general, though, I think master's programs are easier than bachelor's programs.
Hands-On vs. BookishSome of the classes were all about the book learning. Others were almost entirely hands on. I think they did a great job of mixing things up and preparing us to be teachers.
Schedule Flexibility9I took a number of summer and evening classes. I also took my last 2 classes from about 300 miles away, when I got a job a semester before I was going to graduate.
Academic Facilities8I think the libraries at WVU are quite good. My advisor was wonderfully helpful. There were always plenty of computer labs available when I needed them.
Social Life9Going to WVU is awesome. There are parties all over the place. The athletics are really good. The women are attractive. It's great.
Placement ServicesThis is a service that I never had a need to use. I got a job on my own, 8 months before I was set to graduate.
Alumni Network5To be honest, I have no idea. I always throw the mail from the alumni association in the trash without opening it.

Would Recommend?maybeI was not fond of the academic aspect of it. But as for the school in general, I loved it.
Program Reputation6The school tells us it's topnotch. I've never researched the reputation.
Program Quality5They were very mediocre. The teachers seemed outdated.
Instruction5Good with application tasks and being put in front of students. There was no flexibility in lesson plans given.
How Difficult5Not very difficult at all, although it was very time-consuming.
Hands-On vs. BookishMost of the stuff we did was hands on; even the books we were required to buy were not used very often.
Schedule Flexibility1For my major, they had each cohort's class schedule picked out. I lost out on points when I traveled for college athletics.
Academic Facilities5All is pretty old and average at best, except when we taught at the state-of-the-art rec center.
Social Life10The school is very known for its party scene. I was able to meet hundreds of new friends.
Placement Services6I was able to find a job quickly. I'm happy with my degree.
Alumni Network6There are plenty of alumni to ask for help. I never speak to any of them.
