Would Recommend?maybeI might recommend the school, but not my major. There are a lot of other good majors that a person could choose from.
Program Reputation7The school has a famous poetry center. And, many people travel there to write & study English.
Program Quality5I don't think that the school was anything special. Also, there was no help for students in finding a career. But, I had fun learning.
How Difficult8There was a lot of reading to do, typically a book a week for each class. Also, several papers had to be written weekly.
Hands-On vs. BookishI read so many books while there. I don't think there was ever any "hands-on" learning, but then I'm not sure what would count as hands-on for my major.
Schedule Flexibility10Classes were offered every day of the week. You could go anywhere from 8 am to 10 pm. There were also online courses available.
Academic Facilities8There was an excellent poetry center, a decent library, and several study areas. Most professors were available by appointment for assistance.
Social Life5I never attended any of these sots of things. But, I know that there were a lot of student organizations.
Placement Services1There was a career center, but the people there only directed students to newspaper classifieds and the internet. There was no assistance with career searching.
Alumni Network1I have never received any alumni services. In fact, the only thing I have ever received as an alumni is a request for money.
