Studying Administrative Assistant (completion in 2006)

"It was easy to get to all my classes. I had great teachers. Even though it's college, the teachers would not go really fast until we were ready to move on."

Would Recommend?yesIt's a great school. They prepare their students to succeed. Yes, the job is stressful at times, but I was prepared for it.
Program Reputation10It's a very good program. It also depends on what you want to do in life and what kind of stress you can handle. At first I thought I could not handle it but after a few months in class I was doing great and my tutor was helping me out to hang in there.
Program Quality6I wouldn't change my decision on my career. I am going to stick with my decision to be an administrative assistant.

How Difficult8We had a lot of work, but a lot of times we got to do our homework in class. We had to use online forms on our school computers which was great because the teachers would be in the room if we had questions. The academic challenge was difficult because professors were very creative with pop quizzes and they would make them very hard.
Hands-On vs. BookishIt was mixed - both book learning and hands on. I think it was a great idea to let us do some phone answering and fill out forms in the class. It was a very great set up and it was so real. We got to call each other so we could get a taste of what we will be doing in the real world.
Schedule Flexibility7Camden College (Blackwood campus) is huge. It's a very big community, so they have a lot of night classes and day classes. I'm not sure about online courses - maybe in some subjects they offer them.
Academic Facilities10I fell in love with the class room space. It was very roomy and it had a lot of cubicles in which to answer phone calls. I was able to learn how to answer the phone and so on. The library was huge with lots of computers and portable laptops to check out. They had many student tutors to help out. Additionally, there were great gazebos for relaxing and studying outside.
Social Life5Yes, Camden college had sports and social events. I will admit I was a nerd and I didn't take advantage of much of the social life - I always had my nose in the book studying. We had a great football team.
Placement Services9Camden has a high rate of job placement, so I was very excited about that.
Alumni Network7We had great administrative support system and help if we needed it. All we had to do was go to the administrative office and ask.
