"Pros: - Lower fees compared to other universities - Friendly people - Low crime rate - Decent school with a decent program Cons: - Lacks in hands-on experience - Lacks in networking opportunities with"
Ratings are on a 1-10 scale

| Would Recommend? | maybe | My school is not a top 10 school, but is definitely a decent place for developing your career. There are many friendly and helpful professors and decent academic programs. |
| Program Reputation | 6 | The school is ranked in top 60 or so among all universities in the US for my major. Many people are not aware of what University of Kansas offers in terms of programs. My school is more well known for their basketball program an for its academics. |
| Program Quality | 7 | They have good professors who know their stuff. They lack networking opportunities with good tech companies that would aid in on-campus jobs. |
| Instruction | 7 | They have professors who have experience. But the knowledge is more theoretical than practical. It would help having professors who have good connection with companies and encourage students to take up internships. |
| How Difficult | 8 | Some of the classes are academically challenging and extremely difficult. Some classes, on the other hand, are easy, mundane, and boring. Each student has his own perspective regarding the academic work load. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | Like I mentioned earlier, I feel the knowledge imparted is more theoretical than practical. We are not encouraged to take up internships that would provide us with hands-on experience. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 9 | My school offers day/night classes; on-campus/ off- campus classes; and online courses. Students have the flexibility to choose any equivalent class, making it possible for many students to take up classes they want. |
| Academic Facilities | 8 | Professors are very helpful. They maintain office hours beyond their normal time periods. We have 10+ libraries pertaining to various fields of study. Each student can take 50 printouts per day as part of the resources available in the libraries. |
| Social Life | 9 | Our school is a basketball school. Any event revolves around basketball. The parties are wild, especially during tailgating. :) |
| Placement Services | 5 | We had a few small/ mid size companies at our school's job fair. I believe they should try to market our school more to big companies. |
| Alumni Network | 2 | I have absolutely no interaction with our school's alumni network. I don't receive regular updates/ news regarding events happening in school. |

"I had the best time of my life there and I got a bachelor's degree. I just wish I had chosen a different major; one I could use more in my career."

| Would Recommend? | maybe | It hasn't done a lot to prepare me for the real world. I would recommend the school, but a different major. |
| Program Reputation | 5 | Economics is not what KU is known for. I don't think it would be considered below average, though. |
| Program Quality | 7 | The Economics department wasn't huge, so you got more personal attention. The professors were great. |
| Instruction | 7 | I think it's above average. My problem is that I didn't gain enough knowledge that would help me in the real world. |
| How Difficult | 6 | You couldn't get by doing nothing. You had to put in an honest effort in order to succeed. |
| Hands-On vs. Bookish | I kind of wish it was more hands on. There was very little hands-on work with Economics. | |
| Schedule Flexibility | 9 | I never took night or summer courses, but I know they were available. I didn't hear anything bad about the flexibility. |
| Academic Facilities | 5 | Some facilities were better than the Economics program's. I never thought of the facilities as poor. |
| Social Life | 10 | The social events aspect was probably my favorite part of the University of Kansas. If I could, I would give the rating a 15. Football and basketball were both doing well when I went to school there. I met all of my closest friends at KU. Great clubs, great parties, and very high school spirit. |
| Placement Services | 8 | They had a nice website with a large number of job openings throughout the country. I had several interviews through the website. |
| Alumni Network | 9 | I've used it several times to network. I've met some friends through the alumni program. |
