Studying Management Information Systems Supply Chain Management (completion in 2010)

"I consider it a great experience and would not trade it for the world, though I do wonder how things would be different if I went elsewhere."

Would Recommend?yesI would absolutely recommend the school if you want a job as BGSU can find you one pretty easily. Especially if your entering a field in which employees are in demand.
Program Reputation6Our MIS program was quite new so it did not have a great reputation. The supply chain program is considered one of the top 20 in the country.
Program Quality8I felt that my education provided me with a good deal of preparation for my career. There were still things I was I had known prior to beginning my career.
Instruction6Instruction often left something to be desired, as I did much of the work myself. However, I feel like I was reasonably prepared for my career.
How Difficult7It was not something I would consider extremely difficult. I felt that there was a basic learning curve with learning SQL and other database functions, but after that, it clicked with me.
Hands-On vs. BookishIt really depended on the professor. Some classes we were told we didn't need the book at all. Other classes you could get by simply by reading the chapters.
Schedule Flexibility3Many of my classes in my last year were only offered in one section, which was incredibly inconvenient for me. I worked two jobs through school, and my last year was a mess, as I had no flexibility. Up to that point, classes were incredibly flexible, offering summer, evening and online classes.
Academic Facilities4Professors were very accessible. However, the buildings and campus in general was noticeably run down and looked much worse than many other campuses I've been on.
Social Life5Our school has little to no spirit for any sports teams. However, the city was the party scene for the entire region of the state.
Placement Services9I felt that job placement/co-op program was incredibly helpful. I can't think of much more I would ask for. I had multiple job offers before graduation.
Alumni Network2The alumni association at my school is horrible. I am regularly asked for money, and feel that someone spent all of ten minutes on the quarterly newsletter.

Studying Behavioral Health (completion in 2013)

"I don't feel like I got the most out of my education. I am currently enrolled in an online school to further my education; I prefer that more."

Would Recommend?maybeIt depends on what the person is looking for and if it fits their lifestyle. It didn't satisfy me.
Program Reputation4It's just average. Not very in depth, and the fact they did not assist in job placement was poor.
Program Quality5It's a community college, so it was average. I feel if I went to a university or IT school, I would have gotten more out of my education.
Instruction2I didn't receive much preparation for my field. I also didn't get any help with job placement.
How Difficult7My overall major was behavioral health. It was fairly difficult.
Hands-On vs. BookishThey utilized both. I would have preferred more hands on.
Schedule Flexibility7It was a community college, so they had pretty good flexibility; late hours and sometimes weekend classes.
Academic Facilities5Just average. Nothing impressive about the resources.
Social Life3Being a community college, they didn't have many social activities. There was a university nearby; most people went to those functions.
Placement Services2They did very little to assist me. It took some time to find work on my own.
Alumni Network2It was a community college. I may not have utilized all my resources, but they also didn't make it very known with their networking.
