"I consider it a great experience and would not trade it for the world, though I do wonder how things would be different if I went elsewhere."

Would Recommend?yesI would absolutely recommend the school if you want a job as BGSU can find you one pretty easily. Especially if your entering a field in which employees are in demand.
Program Reputation6Our MIS program was quite new so it did not have a great reputation. The supply chain program is considered one of the top 20 in the country.
Program Quality8I felt that my education provided me with a good deal of preparation for my career. There were still things I was I had known prior to beginning my career.
Instruction6Instruction often left something to be desired, as I did much of the work myself. However, I feel like I was reasonably prepared for my career.
How Difficult7It was not something I would consider extremely difficult. I felt that there was a basic learning curve with learning SQL and other database functions, but after that, it clicked with me.
Hands-On vs. BookishIt really depended on the professor. Some classes we were told we didn't need the book at all. Other classes you could get by simply by reading the chapters.
Schedule Flexibility3Many of my classes in my last year were only offered in one section, which was incredibly inconvenient for me. I worked two jobs through school, and my last year was a mess, as I had no flexibility. Up to that point, classes were incredibly flexible, offering summer, evening and online classes.
Academic Facilities4Professors were very accessible. However, the buildings and campus in general was noticeably run down and looked much worse than many other campuses I've been on.
Social Life5Our school has little to no spirit for any sports teams. However, the city was the party scene for the entire region of the state.
Placement Services9I felt that job placement/co-op program was incredibly helpful. I can't think of much more I would ask for. I had multiple job offers before graduation.
Alumni Network2The alumni association at my school is horrible. I am regularly asked for money, and feel that someone spent all of ten minutes on the quarterly newsletter.

"Antioch College was my first, and honestly only, choice. I wanted to attend Antioch College more than anything, and I believed I had died and gone to heaven when I learned I had been accepted. Antioch College -- heaven on earth!"

Would Recommend?yesAntioch College prepares a young person for all of life's opportunities and challenges. The freedom I had to explore my interests and to combine and intermingle disparate interests led to my highly successful career as a business systems analyst in the newspaper systems vendor community. I love(d) Antioch College.
Program Reputation7Antioch College closed in 2008, but has since re-opened, admitted students, and is now working on re-accreditation. Therefore, it is difficult to judge at the moment what the school's current reputation is for any program / major.
Program Quality10Antioch College's work-study model of post-secondary education provided me with a wealth of demanding and rigorous academic and experiential opportunities. Antioch College tests and prepares a student for real-world problem solving.
Instruction10Antioch College's professors have always been of the highest caliber. Antioch College provides an unparalleled and unique context for teaching and research in the liberal arts.
How Difficult10Anyone who has been through an Antioch College education knows how demanding the program is. Graduates of Antioch can say with confidence that they've run the gauntlet of educational rigor.
Hands-On vs. BookishWork-study. That says it all.
Schedule Flexibility10Antioch College is a four-quarter, year-round school. Other than that, it's difficult to rate this question since Antioch College is currently re-inventing its curriculum for re-accreditation.
Academic Facilities5Scoring this average simply because much is up in the air as the College works toward re-accreditation. It can be said that the work-study program compensates for any perceived deficiencies of on-campus resources.
Social Life10Best social environment on earth at Antioch College. You will just have to take my word on that.
Placement Services10Antioch College's work-study program sets all of its students apart in job placement and career services. An Antioch College degree gives any student a giant leap ahead of college- and university-age peers from any generation or decade.
Alumni Network6Antioch College 'needs improvement' when it comes to alumni relations, networking, and support. The College is currently engaged in a process of improvement in these areas.
