Would Recommend?yesIf someone is looking for a job, this is the place of choice. MTC will help you, if you do your homework and are really interested in a career.
Program Reputation8MTC has a great reputation. It is the only college in this area for computer education.
Program Quality7MTC is a good school, but hands on is the only training that really helps. Experience is the key to this job. Advancement is limited as many companies only have one systems analyst.
Instruction8My instructors were very good, they explained the text in great detail. Experience is the key, and only one of my instructors had actually worked as a System Analyst.
How Difficult8Computer hardware and software changes so rapidly, it is hard to keep up. You must constantly keep abreast of new technology.
Hands-On vs. BookishA good mix of both. Hands on is something that you only acquire in a real live environment.
Schedule Flexibility8Very flexible. MTC has day, night, weekend and online courses.
Academic Facilities7The library is pretty nice. The computer lab was up to date, but could have used some PM's done on the computer hardware. I did not have any tutors and only one study group the entire time. It was OK.
Social LifeMTC is not into athletics, parties and such. MTC is a Technical College and people go there to learn a trade so they can go to work.
Placement Services8I had searched on my own to find a job. I did not rely on the school's job placement and career services.
Alumni Network8I was working as soon as I finished school, so I did not participate much in the alumni network. I did get great support from two of my instructors when I had issues that I could not resolve.
