Would Recommend?yesGreat programs, great advisers. For a self-motivated working professional trying to complete a degree, this is a perfect fit.
Program Reputation5The program is popular among working professionals. A motivated student can finish the program fairly quickly.
Program Quality9I appreciated being able to work on my own schedule while still having a semester deadline. I also loved that my CISSP certification counted toward my degree.
Instruction5I have nothing to report. It was mostly a textbook-based degree.
How Difficult7Some courses were more difficult than others. One had to be self managed to succeed.
Hands-On vs. BookishI could wing some classes based on my work experience. Some class subjects were new to me and I had to rely on my textbooks.
Schedule Flexibility10I could take as many classes as I wanted in a semester. If I was done with one class and still had time left in a semester, I could enroll in another class.
Academic Facilities5It is an online campus. We had great access to library resources.
Social Life2Again, it was an online campus. There was not much social interaction happening there. One had to be expecting this, though.
Placement Services2Most of the student at WGU are already working professionals. They don't provide job placement services.
Alumni Network5Nothing to report here. Most of the student at WGU are already working professionals, so not much alumni support is needed.
