Would Recommend?yesThis school is great for up and coming teachers. It will train and prepare you for the exciting career of teaching elementary school students!
Program Reputation7The history program is fairly well received by new students. There could be more of an emphasis on how to use a history degree once it is obtained.
Program Quality8My school did a pretty good job of preparing me in my major. A few professors could have been better, but they were mostly very good.
Instruction7I wasn't as prepared for my profession as I would have liked. My professors did do a good job of filling my mind with information, though.
How Difficult5My program was fairly easy. The tests and classwork in most courses were very easily completed.
Hands-On vs. BookishThere is a heavy emphasis on reading. Books and book reports are going to be most of the homework and projects that you do there.
Schedule Flexibility10There are many options when choosing which classes to take. There are many options to fit your schedule to your desires.
Academic Facilities9There was always a helpful facility or resource available if I needed it. Professors were very accessible and advisors and support staff were always willing to help.
Social Life5I participated in the band and Baptist Student Union and made many friends through those organizations. I did not, however, take part in the Greek system, even though it is very extensive there.
Placement Services6It wasn't very helpful to me after graduation. There isn't enough communication between the career assistants and students.
Alumni Network7There is a great alumni association that does many activities. There are too few members, so it isn't as effective as it could be.
