Church of Brethren Higher Education Overview
Elizabethtown College is the largest of colleges associated with the Church of Brethren in the United States. Located in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, it was established in 1899 by the Church of the Brethren. The college boasts enrollment of more than 2,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students, and offers over 40 different majors and 60 minors, in concentrations ranging from biology to communications to engineering. The second largest school affiliated with the Church of Brethren is Bridgewater College (BC). Established in 1880, BC is a member of the Brethren Colleges Abroad, offering more than 40 major and minor degrees and roughly a dozen specializations in a variety of fields.
