Churches Of Christ Colleges


Churches of Christ are autonomous Christian congregations associated with one another through common beliefs and practices. Seeking to base doctrine and practice on the Bible alone, its members see their purposes as restoring the New Testament church established by Christ. Today, roughly 13,000 congregations exist in the United States comprising more than one million members. Membership is concentrated, with 70% of the U.S. membership in 13 states.

College and university affiliations with the Church of Christ are located across the United States. The schools offer Bachelors through Doctoral Degrees. The largest school is Pepperdine University (Malibu, California), with over seven thousand students. Founded in 1937, Pepperdine students have a concentration of studies in business and management, media, therapy and counseling, and law. The next largest institution, Harding University (Searcy, Arkansas), was established in 1924 and offers studies in business, education, healthcare, and religion.
