Pentecostal Holiness Church Colleges
The Pentecostal Holiness Church (PHC) is a Holiness-Pentecostal Christian denomination based in the United States that was founded in 1911 when two major American religious movements - the Holiness revival of the late 19th century and the Pentecostal revival of the early 20th – merged. Traditionally, the PHC has been centered in the Southeastern United States (specifically the Carolinas and Georgia.) PHC membership in the United States exceeds 300,000, within nearly 2,000 churches.

The Pentecostal Holiness Church’s affiliation with institutions of higher education in the United States includes the four-year, private liberal arts school Emmanuel College (EC), established in 1919 and located in Franklin Springs, Georgia. EC confers bachelor’s degrees across various disciplines ranging from business and biology to pre-law and psychology. Another school affiliated with the PHC is Southwestern Christian University in Bethany, Oklahoma (established in 1946.) Also known as SCU, this university grants bachelor’s and associate’s degrees in areas ranging from business to human and family services. SCU is a member of the National Christian College Athletic Association and the Interstate Collegiate Conference.
